After the mighty rainstorms that swept the West recently, our neighbor's cat, an indoor/outdoor sweetie who comes to visit our indoor cats through the screens on our catio, found a perfect sanctuary, protected from our blustery, late-afternoon winds, yet having a 360-degree view: in the flower box on our deck -- bereft of flowers, washed away by the rains and blown away by the winds.
