From the Blogposts of MSI Press Authors: MacDonald - New Zealand

Image
From the blog post of MSI Press Larry MacDonald, author of award-winning books, RV Oopsie s and Travels with Elly .  We had just finished dinner in the Auckland Sky Tower’s 190-meter-high revolving restaurant.  The food was sooooo good; we wanted to lick our plates! And the views breathtaking – islands, harbours, volcanoes. This calls for a toast …  Kia Ora! Sandy and I were married 25 years ago in Canada and often talked about visiting New Zealand. Our anniversary was coming up in March 2002, late summer “down under.” If there was ever a time and a place to celebrate, it was now … there. And to make it even more memorable we would stay in places with character. Superior Inns’ specially selected B&B’s offer accommodations throughout New Zealand. We would stay with them, visiting major attractions on the North Island between Auckland and Wellington. Read the rest of the blog post HERE and enjoy the beautiful pictures that Larry shares. Daily Excerpt: Exercising in a Pandemic (Young) - Exercising at Home

Image
excerpt from Exercising in a Pandemic (Young) -  Exercising In the House             Exercising at home doesn’t involve travel time to the gym, and it sets a good example for kids and other family members who might be parked in front of the television set or computer screen. Maybe they will get up and exercise with you. Maybe you can switch the television or computer to an exercise program and involve the whole family, or just leave the television on and exercise while you watch something the whole family enjoys. If the television is turned off, find some lively music on the radio to work out with. Stretch to classical or new age music. Work out to jazz or rock. Find whatever lively music your whole family likes if you are working out together. Working out to music you enjoy makes exercising more fun. You will be more likely to continue an exercise regimen.             Start with basic exercises. Jumping jacks, stretches, squats, lunges and push-ups or knee push-ups are good starters.

Daily Excerpt: Everybody's Little Book of Everyday Prayers - Prayers of Thanks

Image
excerpt from Everybody's Little Book of Everyday Prayers (MacGregor): -  Prayers of Thanks   From prayers of supplication, it’s logical that we move, next, to prayers of thanks. After all, we were all brought up to say, “Thank you,” at the appropriate times, which includes thanking someone who gives us a gift or does something nice for us, and certainly that rule is just as applicable in our ongoing dialogues with God. If we asked Him for something, and we got what we asked for, isn’t it only proper to tell God, “Thank You”? Here are some prayers thanking God in various situations.   Thanking God for answering a prayer/granting a wish   Thank you, merciful God, for answering my prayer/granting my wish. I am truly grateful for Your beneficence and mindful that Your hand is in all that happens, and I have You to thank for all good things that occur in my life. I will not forget You, forget Your power, forget Your beneficence, or fail to appreciate what You have done for me. Amen.
