San Juan Books Presents Its Special Authors: Meet Liz Bayardelle and Her Books for Mothers Any Day of the Year -- Perfect Gifts If You Missed Mother's Day

Image
San Juan Books is the hybrid division of MSI Press LLC. It allows first-time writers to become published in a traditional way through the reduction of risk by sharing publication costs. All other publishing features are traditional in nature, and most SJB authors go on to be offered traditional contracts for their subsequent books. SJB publications are available as paperback, hard cover, and e-book versions. SJB authors' books very much hold their own against their contemporaries in the traditional publishing division. Indeed, a number of them have outsold their traditional compatriots. Today, San Juan Books presents author Dr. Liz Bayardelle. Liz published Clean Your Plate! 13 Things Good Parents Say That Ruin Kid's Lives . Her book has earned 5-star reviews and won a gold award from Titan Reviews and a finalist position in the Readers' Favorites competition. Subsequently, Liz was offered a traditional contract for her much-needed book, Parenting in a Pandemic . To see mor

Parenting in a Pandemic  is the book we all needed and for which we never dreamed we would have to search. Bayardelle breaks down a tremendous amount of information in a short, well-organized, and engaging read. I highly recommend Bayardelelle’s guide to any parent looking to navigate the waters of parenting in this pandemic while waiting patiently on a return to what may be our new normal. 5 stars Read the rest of the review on Literary Titan .  Read more posts about Liz Bayardelle and her books HERE .

Excerpt from Parenting in a Pandemic (Bayardelle): Introduction

As a child, I imagined that the year 2020 would feature flying cars, magically calorie-free food, teleportation, and pets that were actually robots. What the actual year 2020 has brought is a complete dumpster fire. At the time of writing, we’re only halfway through, and so far we have experienced increasingly dangerous political divisions, major earthquakes, civic unrest, actual locusts (really), the deaths of cherished public figures, continuing protests for racial equality, massive fires, and murder hornets. We can’t forget about the murder hornets. Oh yes, as if all of this wasn’t already enough, we’re also facing an unprecedented global health crisis in the form of the coronavirus, otherwise known as COVID-19. The WHO first reported a novel virus on January 5, 2020, after a series of cases in Wuhan, China originally thought to be pneumonia proved to be from the same strand of a new disease. [1] The first cases outside China were reported on January 13. On January 20 the U

Just released --  Clean Your Plate! b y Liz Bayardelle: Parents mean well, we really do. We want our kids to get good grades, stop hitting their siblings, and, yes, clean their plate at dinnertime. It shouldn't be that hard, right? Wrong. Sometimes these harmless sounding statements don't work. Even worse, they often backfire to cause unexpected and unwelcome side effects for us and for our kids. (Just like your prescription for headache medicine may accidentally cause vomiting or make you spontaneously sprout a leathery tail.) This book takes 13 of the most common parent-isms and walks you through the ways they can go wrong, why they could negatively impact your kids, and what you should say instead. Includes parental greatest hits like: - Do You Need Any Money? - Get Straight A's - Don't Be a Quitter - Don't Talk Back (to Your Elders) - Waste Not, Want Not - Be Nice to Your Friends - Give Your Aunt a Hug - Win Your Game Today - Finish Your Homework - Don't H
