There are lots and lots of similar articles. Interest in staying young while growing old is strong, and what we know about doing that is growing as well.
But, okay, back to the aging muscles and a couple of insights from the forthcoming book...
What does Grandma say about aging muscles? They need recovery time. Don't work out all body parts every day if you want to work out every day. Muscles, in Grandma's experience, take two days to recover for oldsters, compared to one day for youngsters. So, day 1 do upper body, day two lower body, day 3 abdominal muscles, and voila, all set to begin the cycle again, and all muscles have had the time they need to recover.
What did Brittany tell Grandma? It does not matter that you have not hit the gym in 50 years, your old Army-day muscles will kick in. Muscles have memory! [Says Grandma: I did not know that!]
