A Publisher's Conversation with Authors: A+ Content for Prompting A+ Sales

 


It is Tuesday. Monday's madness is over, and Wednesday will take us over the hump, so Tuesday it is--for some serious discussion with authors. Tuesday talks mean to address authors in waiting and self-published authors who would like to go a more traditional route or who would at least like to take their steps with a publisher by their side. 

This week, we share the importance of A+ content in marketing books. A+ content refers to enhanced marketing content that brands use to create more engaging and informative product listings, primarily on e-commerce platforms like Amazon. It allows sellers to include additional visuals, text, and other interactive elements to better showcase their products. A+ content is highly recommended to be added to author pages and product descriptions on Amazon for better sales. Here are some features of A+ content:

  1. Enhanced Product Images: High-quality images that display the product from various angles and highlight its features.

  2. Detailed Descriptions: In-depth product information to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.

  3. Comparison Charts: Tables that compare similar products to highlight the unique selling points of each.

  4. Customer Testimonials: Quotes or reviews from satisfied customers to build trust.

  5. Brand Story: Information about the brand's history, values, and mission to create a connection with customers.

A+ content helps improve product discoverability, boost sales conversions, and reduce return rates by providing customers with a richer shopping experience. Additionally, while getting A+ content live online, don't overlook the importance of keywords and phrases for discoverability, and make sure these are part of your content.

While A+ content is important for author pages on Amazon, it can be pretty important for any venue of marketing. Put it on your website. Put it in your press releases. Use if for handouts at workshops. Talk about it on your social media platforms. 

Bottom line: While A+ takes work to achieve (as in any project), sharing A+ content widely can make a big difference in a book's success.
