Perhaps you still get an actual newspaper. Whichever way your family gets its current events or how your child might get his in the future, reading the news is one common form of informational reading that most people do. Nearly every job involves reading in some way, to some degree, but regardless of the type of career your child ends up choosing, he will still likely need or want to read the news. Therefore, it is not a bad idea to help him get familiarized with a newspaper now and make it fun while you are at it!
