A Publisher's Conversation with Authors: What is really going on with Amazon's new algorithm and the ability for readers to find your book?

  It is Tuesday. Monday's madness is over, and Wednesday will take us over the hump, so Tuesday it is--for some serious discussion with authors. Tuesday talks mean to address authors in waiting and self-published authors who would like to go a more traditional route or who would at least like to take their steps with a publisher by their side. This week, the topic is one that that has been the buzz among publishers and authors these days. What is going on with Amazon's new A10 algorithm?  Here are the things we have been able to determine (with approximate certainty, at least). No Magic Number : There’s  no confirmed rule  that books need 100+ reviews to appear in search. That idea is definitely floating around and likely stems from marketing lore or newsletter eligibility requirements, not Amazon policy.
