Morning Prayer: Readiness to Welcome God
antiphon from today's prayer “Dawn finds me ready to welcome you, my God.” Readiness isn’t a mood. It’s a posture. It’s the quiet decision to turn toward God before the day begins turning me. Being ready doesn’t mean I wake up serene or sorted. It means I’ve cleared enough interior space that God doesn’t have to fight through my noise to be received. It means I’m willing to be interrupted, redirected, or surprised. It means my first act is consent: Yes, come. Yes, speak. Yes, lead. Readiness is trust made visible. I welcome God at dawn because I’m not afraid of what the day will ask of me when He is the one who brings it. This morning, readiness looks like a heart unbarred, a mind unhurried, and a spirit willing to say: Whatever You bring with this sunrise, I welcome You.
