Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) is an injury to the brain caused by an external force — a blow, jolt, or sudden acceleration that disrupts normal brain function. It can be as obvious as a severe head strike in a car accident or as subtle as a fall that “didn’t seem that bad” at the time.
