Story maps generally contain places to record the story elements you just read about, such as   ●       setting (time, place); ●       characters (main and others); ●       statement of problem or goal; ●       events; and ●       resolution (solving the problem or reaching the goal).   Children tend to find the setting and characters easy but may have difficulty with the statement of the problem and putting events in the proper order.
