What Forms Does Divine Revelation Take?

  We often imagine revelation as thunder — a voice from the clouds, a flash of certainty. But most of the time, it arrives quietly, in forms that look almost ordinary until we learn to see them. 1. The Word Scripture is the most visible form of revelation: words shaped by human hands yet carrying divine breath. It’s not a static archive but a living conversation — God speaking through human story, poetry, lament, and praise. 2. The World Creation itself reveals. The psalmist said, “The heavens declare the glory of God.” Every sunrise, every cell, every law of physics is a kind of language. Nature doesn’t argue; it discloses. 3. The Spirit Revelation also happens interiorly — through conscience, intuition, and the quiet movements of the Spirit.
