Transformation Tuesday Nugget: Simplicity

Simplicity is the quiet stewardship of what truly matters—your time, your choices, your soul.

An important idea bubbling up from Road Map to Power (Husain & Husain), Paperback on 25% discount at the MSI Press webstore; use coupon code FF25.

Description

What is the true source of authentic power? Offering a detour from the dead end of this "buy more, be more" culture, the authors demonstrate why the traditional routes to power are accessible only for an elite few. Wrapping warm, profound stories of empowerment around an extensive body of research, Road Map to Power is your guide to a life of dignity, satisfaction, and happiness.

keywords: authentic power, empowerment stories, true source of power, dignity and satisfaction, life of happiness, buy more be more culture, alternative power paths, empowerment research, traditional routes to power, guide to authentic power, life satisfaction, empowerment guide, personal power, personal empowerment, guide to happiness, bliss, joy, empowerment journey, true power sources, power for everyone, empowerment and dignity

Liz in ATL (Amazon): The True Path to Happiness

Road Map to Power starts with the author's awakening to the realization that his estimation of his success was in actuality a prison of his own making. A conversation with Bob, a colleague, made the author see that a big house and fancy trappings were literally trappings, and that Bob had much more happiness with a simpler life, one not tied to monthly payments and keeping up with the Joneses.

The book goes on to recount, with scientific and real-life examples, how, while we all think of ourselves as "better than", we really are quite average, statistically speaking. Most of us are not the 1%, but are the 99% since we are not born with silver spoons in our mouths or with the genetic makeup that will get us on the cover of Vogue.

However, all is not lost, despite our not being of the upper echelon. Our happiness and empowerment can be found in much more substantial and human ways than having super bank accounts, mansions, or paparazzi following us. It is this that the book explores and guides us to find for ourselves. I highly recommend this book for all ages from teens to seniors.
