Two Reverends Comment on Everybody's Little Book of Everyday Prayers (MacGregor)
As the title of the blog post says, here are the comments on Everybody's Little Book of Everyday Prayers (Cynthias MacGregor) by two reverends:
This book is a
keeper. It gets to the heart of our communication with God by offering to any
individual or family a collection of suggested prayers for a variety of occasions.
The words ring true. The language is simple and from the heart. The prayers are
suitable for those of any religious belief, including those who have no
affiliation but still believe in God, Spirit, our Creator…whatever name you
know Him (or Her) by.
Cynthia
MacGregor has provided a much-needed resource for people who want to open their
hearts and lives to God but are stuck for the right words. She’s got them…and
she shares them here. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to make prayer
a meaningful part of his or her life.

I have had the
pleasure of previewing Cynthia MacGregor’s new book, Everybody’s Little Book of Everyday Prayers. This is a wonderful
gift! Whether you purchase it for yourself, to give to someone else or receive
it as a gift, it’s a real treat.
In good old plain
English, Cynthia expresses prayer in poetic gratitude, in prose, and just
talking to God. Prayers are simply and directly expressed, as well as questions
to God. There are prayers for adults, for children, for parents, for everyone.
Even if you already have a book of prayers, formal or otherwise, this is a wonderful addition to treasure in your collection.
