From the Blog Posts of MSI Press Authors: Franki Bagdade asks whether Halloween will be a trick or a treat

Today's shared blog post comes from Franki Bagdade, author of the award-winning book (IAN Book of the Year, Literary Titan gold medal), I Love My Kids, But I Don't Always Like Them.

In her post, Franki writes:

Halloween was my Dad’s favorite holiday.

My mom would pull out old decorations held together by masking tape and memories and we’d work together to decorate our big picture windows.

My Dad would carve elaborate pumpkins, one year making a cabbage patch kid to my pure delight as a child of the 80’s.

I have a more complicated relationship with Halloween. It’s hard not to see it as a disruption to the already impossible and overwhelming duties of modern parenthood.
