The Story behind the Book: Sula and the Franciscan Sisters (Sula, Parish Cat)
This week's book back story is about the book, Sula and the Franciscan Sisters, by Sula, Parish Cat at Old Mission.
From the publisher:
This book is the last in a series of books "written" by Sula, the late Parish Cat at Old Mission San Juan Bautista, a cat that soared to fame and pulled in scores of people at her funeral, when she finally succumbed to cancer.
This particular book was written to honor the Franciscan Sisters of the Atonement, who lived at the convent at Old Mission San Juan Bautista when Sula was the parish cat.
The book shares photographs of Sula's interactions with the nuns, who loved her as she loved them.
