Humor Really Is the Best Medicine
I’ve noticed something over the years: the people who cope best with life’s chaos aren’t necessarily the strongest or the most organized. They’re the ones who can still find something—anything—to laugh about.
I’ve watched caregivers crack jokes in waiting rooms, friends trade one‑liners during heartbreak, and elders tell stories so funny you forget they’re actually teaching you how to survive. Humor doesn’t trivialize pain; it gives us a way to carry it without collapsing under the weight.
When we laugh, even briefly, the world becomes a little less sharp around the edges. Problems shrink to a size we can manage. And we remember that joy isn’t gone; it’s just hiding behind the next grin.
May today bring you at least one laugh. Consider it your daily dose of medicine.

post inspired by Humor, the Wonder Drug by Ken Mogren
Book Description
Following the success of his two Spunky Grandmas books, Ken Mogren is back with another collection of humorous sonnets, plus a smattering of clever limericks, about comical human behavior and the world we live in. Once again, Joella Goyette has contributed creative, cartoonish drawings that introduce the themes of each of the book’s 17 chapters. Like the previous works,
Humor, the Wonder Drug, provides laughs, chuckles, and smiles that lift spirits and brighten days.
