Excerpt from Puertas a la Eternidad (Ustman): Introduction

Image
Mi nombre es Nelson Fernando Ustman S., y durante este breve espacio en nuestro planeta tierra, he sufrido, he vivido, he reído, he llorado, he cantado, me he caído, y me he vuelto a levantar.

The Story behind the Book: Puertas a la Eternidad (Ustman)

Today's blog post is the next in the series of book back stories and is the story behind Puertas a La Eternidad by Fernando Ustman. From the publisher -  This story is quite simple, really. One day, Fernando, simply knocked at our San Juan Bautista door, sent there by his brother, a priest, who knew us. He had two books in hand, Las Puertas a la Eternidad and El Poder de lo Transpersonal . Both had been published in Colombia, his home country, and were popular. Now, he had moved to San Diego, and wondered if his books could appeal to the US Spanish-reading community. Well, to us they looked like they could, and so we took a chance on publishing them. From time to time, they have popped up on best-selling lists, which validates our confidence in publishing them.   Comment from a reviewer: Es un hermoso libro Yo lo recomiendo Si deseas un crecimiento personal y espiritual Y también es fácil de entenderlo gracias Nelson Fernando Ustman Paperback copies of Fernando's books can

The Story behind the Book: Las Historias de Mi Vida (Ustman)

From the editor -- Las Historias de Mi Vida  is the third book Fernando Ustman published with us.  It is a good story about how authors actually get contracts. Just like book sales, many come via word of mouth. Fernando had published two books ( Las Puertas de la Eternidad and EL Poder de lo Transpersonal ) in Colombia, his home country, and wanted to publish second editions of them. Not in English, but in Spanish. At the time, we were not publishing in Spanish. However, Fernando's brother was a good friend, a priest from Colombia who had been assigned to our diocese for five years. So, we plunged into the task. Now, we have published other books in Spanish -- Fernando set us on that path. For more posts about Fernando and his books, including excerpts, click  HERE .
